Cascade Dental Products Company Inc. was first founded in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge in Hood River, Oregon. The founder, Gary M. Hornbeck, Licensed Denturist, began working as a dental lab technician
in 1962 and by 1964 he owned and operated his own dental laboratory. In 1980 Gary was in the graduating class of the first 50 licensed denturist in the nation and he began operating his full service laboratory. This means he took the oral impression of his denture patients, processed the dentures in his lab, and then personally fitted the dental appliances for the patient.
Sparkle Professional Denture Cleaner
In 46 years of making over 23,000 dentures, he saw them brought in to his office with stains and plaque built-up that seemed impossible to get rid of. He knew the frustration of those wearing dentures at not being able to find any product that would properly clean their dentures or remove stains. So, in 1991 he developed Sparkle Professional Denture Cleaner that now gives denture wearers satisfaction that their dentures are sparkling clean, stains are gone, and no more denture breath. Gary M. Hornbeck passed away of pancreatic cancer on November 29, 2011 but he leaves a legacy of caring and service for his patients and Sparkle customers, his friends and family.
